Years before joining the MMC, Marty was a baseball coach for HGRA and also served on their board for a term. Marty discovered the MMC through his role at the state fair with his day job in the beer industry. After becoming a club member in 2019, and a board member in 2020, he decided to run for President of the club. Outside of work and the club Marty, and his wife Julie and daughter Maggie, run a franchise yard sign business that helps folks celebrate life events. www.spellitoutco.com Marty is also a bluegrass musician and has a band called The Pale Ales Bluegrass Band. www.palealesbluegrass.com
I joined the Midway Men's Club just after he moved into the neighborhood in 1999. I've been a member of the Board for over fifteen years, serving in a number of roles. In my day job, I do a lot of consulting with cities and school districts, providing them with tools and advice to help them plan for the future.
I believe that our club does a great deal of good for the neighborhood, making it easier for kids to join after-school and summer programs, getting some fresh air and developing valuable skills to help them succeed as they grow.
I'm a licensed MN Realtor, specializing in old homes in the St Paul area. MMC donated to my son's high school basketball & baseball teams in 2018. Once I learned how the club raised their funds, I was quick to volunteer for a shift at the fair and had a blast doing it! I'm proud to be a part of such a great organization benefiting our youth.
I joined MMC to help support Youth Activities in the Saint Paul area. I retired from my sales job and now keep myself busy coaching and working to keep our young youth busy in sport activities. MMC is an organization that supports my efforts.
